Luke 22
But the hand of him who is going to betray me is with mine on the table. (Luke 22:21)The full weight of Judas' betrayal hit me with this. He was there holding hands with Jesus, part of the circle of friends, and when he slipped out to betray Jesus he broke that fellowship.
Ouch

Lorna,
I remember when the full weight of it hit me... when he kissed Jesus in order to betray him. Why? Why did he have to kiss him in greeting. Couldn't he have just pointed to him? I cried when I thought about it. It is so much worse. And Jesus calls him "friend" at that point. It is enough to break your heart.
